Sale fill for perfume oils
Set up oil, alcohol and bottle items, then sell a fill from the till — or use multi-line sales until sale fill is configured.
Perfume oil counters sell a mix made at the till: a bottle (or the customer's bottle), oil by millilitre, and alcohol by millilitre. Sahab supports that with an item of type Kit marked Sale fill — quantities chosen at the till, or — until that is set up — with separate cart lines for the same components.
Before you start
- Under Items, create stocked items whose unit is millilitres for oils and alcohol, and bottle items counted by the piece.
- One alcohol item is usually enough. Each scent is its own oil item with its average cost per ml.
- Create a kit, turn on Sale fill — quantities chosen at the till, and choose the Alcohol item. Prefer Open price — the till asks for the price at each sale because the sell price changes by customer.
- Do not create hundreds of kits for every concentration — concentration is entered in the Sale fill dialog.
Four everyday sale patterns
1) Bottle from the shop
Open Point of sale and choose the fill item (it shows the Sale fill badge). In the dialog pick Fragrance oil, enter Oil (ml) and Bottle capacity (ml), turn on Bottle from the shop and pick the bottle, enter the Sell price, then Add fill to cart. Sahab deducts oil, alcohol (capacity minus oil) and the bottle, and costs them from stock.
2) Customer's bottle
Same steps, but choose Customer brought the bottle — no bottle leaves stock. This is the most common case.
3) Wholesale oil (no bottle, no alcohol)
Add the oil item alone with the millilitres sold, and adjust the price if needed.
4) Empty bottles wholesale
Add the bottle item with the piece quantity — a normal piece sale.
If sale fill is not configured yet
You can still sell with multiple lines on the till or at the desk: oil line + alcohol line (you calculate capacity minus oil) with or without a bottle line. Cost and profit still post correctly; Sale fill only saves the alcohol maths and the extra taps.
Cost and profit
After the sale, anyone with the reports permission sees cost and profit on the cash-sale receipt, and from Overview via Sales margin for a daily view close to hand-written cost and profit columns.
