Who this is for: Owner

Set up your company is three short steps in which you describe your company and how it works. From your answers Sahab starts you with settings that fit your business, and you become the company's Owner.

Before you start

  • You create your account from a private sign-up link the Sahab team sends you. If the sign-in page shows Create one, sign-up is open and you can start there.
  • On the sign-up page, enter your Full name, Work email, Mobile number and a password, then press Create account. You go straight on to company setup.
  • To add another company to an existing account, open the menu under your name at the top of the screen and choose New company.
  • Have ready: the country the company is registered in, its currency, and whether it's registered for VAT and at what rate.

Company details

Step one, Company:

  1. Enter the Company name your customers know. You add the legal name later.
  2. Choose the Country of registration. Sahab suggests a country based on where you're connecting from, so check it.
  3. Check the Company currency and Timezone. Sahab suggests them from the country or from your device.
  4. Press Continue.

How you work

Step two, How you work:

  1. Choose your Business type.
  2. Choose One shop or Several branches.
  3. Answer Do you sell on installments?
  4. Choose Yes — we use a point of sale if cashiers sell from a register, or No — office sales only.
  5. Answer Do you receive or write cheques? or leave it, and Sahab starts with what suits your business.
  6. Answer Do you sell on account (customers pay later)? If you chose installments there's nothing to answer: Sahab notes under it that installments allow selling on account too.
  7. Press Continue.

Under the questions, Sahab shows the settings it will start you with. You can change them later in Configuration Studio.

Tax and fiscal year

Step three, Tax & fiscal year:

  1. Answer Are you registered for VAT (value added tax)? If you aren't, skip to step 5.
  2. Enter the VAT rate (%) from your tax registration, then tick I confirm this is the rate my company charges.
  3. Enter the Tax registration number (optional) if you have it.
  4. Answer Do your selling prices include VAT?
  5. Pick the month in Your fiscal year starts in.
  6. Press Create company.

Note: Sahab never applies a tax rate on its own. It may suggest your country's standard rate, but you are the one who confirms or changes it.

Sahab saves the answers of each step, so if you leave before the end you come back to where you stopped.

After the company is created

The workspace doesn't open until you confirm your email, unless you already have:

  1. Open your inbox. The sign-up email has Verify email address, and the company welcome email has Verify email and continue. Press either one.
  2. If the emails didn't arrive, press Resend verification email. If the address is wrong, press Wrong address? Change email.
  3. Once confirmed, Home opens with the Finish setting up your company list.

To review your company's details later, open Workspace → Companies. It shows the company's language, timezone, currency, number of members and subscription.
