Follow the day from Home

Home brings together today's sales, stock, purchasing and installment numbers, with shortcuts to the jobs you do most.

Who this is for: Owner Manager
Last reviewed:

Home is the first page owners and managers see after signing in: today's numbers at a glance, plus shortcuts to the jobs you do most. You'll find it in the sidebar under Overview.

Before you start

  • Owners and managers land on Home after signing in. You can change this for each user under Users, in the Default home field: Operations Overview is Home itself, and the other option is Point of sale.
  • Cashiers don't see Home when the company sells at a point of sale; Sahab opens the till for them straight away.
  • Someone whose role is Staff and who doesn't have View reports lands on My information instead.
  • Tiles and shortcuts follow your permissions, so the page can look different from one person to the next.

Finish setting up your company

In a new company, the Finish setting up your company list appears at the top of the page for anyone with Change company settings. Nothing in it stops you from selling.

  1. Press an item's button to open its page and finish it. The item leaves the list on its own once it's done.
  2. Press Hide next to any item your company doesn't need.

Note: The legal details item can't be hidden while the company is VAT-registered and hasn't entered its tax number.

Today’s pulse

The Today’s pulse tiles count what happened during the company's day, in the company's time zone. Press any tile to see the detail behind its number, if you have access to that page.

  • Cash sales today: the total and number of sales completed today, at the point of sale and at the desk.
  • Low-stock SKUs: active items whose stock is at or below their reorder threshold.
  • Sold beyond stock: what was sold without enough stock and is waiting for a receipt to settle its cost. Shown to people with Batches & serials.
  • Draft purchases: purchase orders that are still drafts.
  • Collections today: installment money collected today and the number of collections.
  • Dues due today: installments due today that aren't fully paid.
  • Overdue installments: installments past their due date that aren't fully paid.

A tile changes colour when it holds something that needs following up.

Start something

The Start something shortcuts take you straight to everyday work. Each one appears only to people with the matching permission, and only for the ways of selling the company has turned on:

  • Point of sale: opens the full-screen till for selling at the register.
  • New sale: a cash sale from the desk, without the till screen.
  • New purchase: a purchase order to a supplier.
  • New installment transaction: an installment sale to a customer with a schedule of dues.
  • Log expense: an expense paid from a register or a bank account.
  • Reports hub: opens Reports.

The rest of the page

  • Explore the workspace: cards for the main work areas, showing only the ones you have access to. Handy when you're showing a new colleague around.
  • Installments at a glance: Active customers, Active transactions, Unpaid installments and Paid installments today, with the Unpaid required total below them. If your company doesn't sell on installments, these stay at zero.

Tip: Home only shows today. To see a week or a month, open Reports and pick the period.
