Dues and overdue installments
Open Installments → Installment dues to see what's due today, what's overdue and what was paid today, and collect or move a due from its page.
Installment dues is the daily work list for whoever follows up on installments: what's due today, what's past its date and still unpaid, and what was paid today. Start your day there, then open each due to collect it or move its date.
Before you start
- The page is open to the Owner, Manager and anyone with the Installments clerk role.
- In the sidebar, Installment dues shows the number of overdue installments, so you can see from any page that something is waiting.
Read the list
- Go to Installments → Installment dues. The Installments page opens on Due today.
- Choose Overdue to see every due that is past its date with something still owed, oldest first.
- Choose Paid today to see what was fully paid today.
- Choose All to see every due, paid and waived ones too, latest due date first.
- To find a customer or a transaction, type in Search transaction, item, or customer.
Each row shows the installment number, Transaction, Customer, Due date, Required, Paid and Status. A Down payment row is the down payment agreed when the transaction was created.
Installment statuses:
- Scheduled: its date hasn't come yet.
- Due today: its date is today.
- Overdue: past its date and not fully paid, even if part was paid.
- Partial: part was paid and its date hasn't passed.
- Paid: fully paid.
- Waived: written off for the customer with no collection.
The installment page
Press View on the row, or Collect if something is still owed. The page shows the amounts, date and status, then Payment details and Collections. Collecting is covered in Collect an installment.
Move a due date
You can move a due's date as long as nothing has been collected on it.
- On the installment page, press Reschedule. You'll also find it on the due's row in the Schedule tab of the transaction's page.
- Pick the New due date.
- Write the Reason for the new date, at least three characters. It's kept in the transaction's history.
- Turn on Also shift later installments if the dues after this one should move with it, keeping the same frequency. It's off by default.
- Press Save new due date.
Note: If the due is overdue, or was already moved once, Sahab may ask for approval from another colleague who has Set credit limits, depending on your company's setting. The approver types their email and password in Approver email and Approver password in the same window.
Waive an installment
Waive due writes the installment off for the customer with no collection. It only appears on a due with nothing collected. It, Restore due and Reverse collection show only for an Owner or Manager, or anyone whose role holds Correct posted sales; the Installments clerk role doesn't see them. If you waived one by mistake, press Restore due and it can be collected again.
Murabaha profit
If a due's date has come and its murabaha profit hasn't been recognised yet, a message says so at the top of the page. Sahab recognises it automatically every day, and an Owner or Manager can do it straight away with Recognise profit now.
Tip: Check Overdue every morning before Due today; an overdue installment gets harder to collect the longer it waits.
What's next

- Reverse a collection or cancel a transaction — and when to correct or end a transaction instead.
