Books and financial statements
Every sale, payment and expense posts an entry to the company's books; you read those books and statements on the accounting pages under Finance.
This article is still being written: it explains what the screen is for, and its steps are not written yet.
You don't need to type entries by hand: for every sale, return, receipt, collection and expense, Sahab records a document and posts a balanced entry for it. You read them on pages under Finance: Source documents for each document and its posting lines, Chart of accounts for the company's ledger accounts, Journal entries for the posted entries, Trial balance for each account's totals, then Balance sheet and Profit and loss.
These pages are read-only; a correction always adds a linked reversing entry and never erases anything. Owners and accountants can open them, and so can anyone given a role with the permission to view accounting.
